ACC FAQ’s
How do I find out my vehicles original colors & materials?
Simply enter your Year>Make>Model & Category of product you’re looking for and we’ll do the rest. The results will populate only colors & materials designed to match the ones offered originally for your vehicle. Please be aware that the colors of our carpets and floor mats are aftermarket colors and therefore do not use OEM names or codes. They have been designed to match the originals as closely as possible, for this reason we highly recommend ordering our
free sample swatches to make sure you select the closest match.
Can I request samples to match color/material prior to purchase?
Yes, and we recommend that you do so. You can view and order our samples,
free of charge here. You may request up to 10 samples which will be shipped out by the end of the next business day.
Do you keep your products in stock?
No, all ACC products are made to order and sent into production the same day the order is placed.
What is Mass Backing?
This page will explain the benefits of uprading to Mass Backing ---->
Is Mass Backing Worth It?
Mass Backing is an approximately 45mil thick Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA). It can be added to most any molded carpet and adds great sound and heat insulation to your vehicle's flooring.
How does the Essex material differ from the standard Cut Pile material?
This page will explain the difference between the two materials ---->
Essex Vs Cutpile
Essex material is a premium, super plush upgrade to our standard Cut Pile. Standard Cut Pile is 1/4 inch high. Essex is 3/8 inch high. ACC, Inc. has offered Essex material as a upgrade option for over 10 years and it was developed with luxury in mind. Essex can be specified for just about any model vehicle as an upgrade to your order. It is made from 100% Nylon Cut Pile carpet manufactured with over 40% more nylon fiber than our standard Cut Pile. Essex material width is 78 inches. Just like all other ACC, Inc. materials, Essex is dyed on a continuous dying range and meets color fastness industry standards.
*Orders made in Essex material are custom orders and can not be returned.*
Are ACC carpets waterproof?
No. Our carpet is not intended to be used outdoors or on boats, planes, etc. It is intended for interior automotive use only.
What if I order and then realize that the color does not match when I receive my mats?
This is the number one reason we implore you to order up to 6 swatch samples prior to ordering to test which colors/materials are the best match. If this issue does arise then you must contact customer service to request a Return Authorization (RA) number before sending them back to us. Due to the fact that we offer color match samples prior to purchase, returns based on color discrepancies are NOT covered under the warranty and are subject to a restocking fee.
California Prop 65 Regulations
Effective August 30,2018, all products sold into the state of California will be subject to the new California Prop-65 warning label requirements. Prop 65 became law in 1986 with the stated purpose to "provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm." The law requires warning labels to be placed on all products containing chemicals listed by the California Office of Environmental Health and Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) as known to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm. The chemical list is extensive and ever changing as more carcinogens are identified all of our products will ship with an approved Prop-65 warning label. We will be utilizing the truncated label to comply with the new regulatory requirements. The label will be placed directly on the product or included with the product packaging.
